***Due to licensing issues (that we have unsuccessfully tried to work out), BTW’s Performance Theater Camp will not be performing GREASE. We hope you will be as excited as we are about our summer production: the newly revived GODSPELL.
A note from our director, Taryn Tonelli:
“This Stephen Schwartz phenomenon has been beloved since its incarnation in 1971, and in 2012, it was quite literally REVIVED. New orchestrations and an updated book give Godspell an electric pulse it never had before. It’s a story with contagious energy, invigorating spirit, and a loud, thumping, visceral heartbeat. It’s a story of love. It’s a story that is desperately needed in the current climate of our world today.
And we have the honor to tell it!
I couldn’t be more excited to get creative and build this “beautiful city” with all of you. There will be improving, laughing, rapping, grooving, dancing, team building, and of course, a lot of belting. GODSPELL is an ENSEMBLE show, (ten named characters who each sing their own songs – up to 20 with double casting!) and we will 100 percent be a team.”
Our creative team consists of:
Director – Taryn Tonelli
Musical Director – Rick Adams
Assistant Musical Director – John Zupan
Choreographer – Janel Sipala
Costumer – Thomasina Hyland
Hair and Make Up – Dee Spencer
Producer – John Asselta
We are all confident that this will be an amazing experience you will never forget!
Auditions for parts (everyone who registers is in the show) will be Monday and Tuesday, July 22nd and 23rd at 5 PM. If these dates are a problem for you, please let us know by emailing us at BTWinformation@gmail.com and we’ll work things out.
